Future leaders invest their time in Creativity, Interactivity, and Productivity (part 4)

What leadership activities should we be investing in? That is where we left it last time. Looking out over the next decade, I believe the best leadership investments will be made in three areas. The first investment is in Creativity. No, I’m not talking about getting out the watercolors and interpreting the landscape. I am talking about getting clear on the mission, getting clear on the strategies, and using data to guide next actions. The second investment I call Interactivity. This is building stronger relationships, improving our emotional intelligence, and renewing trust. The third investment is in Productivity. Not our own productivity, per se, but the productivity of our teams. This is about leadership actions that clear up expectations, build and train future teams, and promote ruthless organization. All of these I have put into a system I call the Future Leadership Framework. More on the framework tomorrow in our last post of the series (this is post 4 in a series).
