Clear your inbox twice as fast

How to clear your inbox twice as fast when you are sick to your stomach with email:

Step 1 – Do a select all so all the messages in your inbox are highlighted.

Step 2 – Go down the list asking yourself this for each line: “Do I want to look at this?” Un-highlight the fraction that you want to read or respond to.

Step 3 – Hit delete (not archive).

Suddenly you will have just a few messages worth your time and attention. Works especially well if you get a lot of newsletters that are interesting but not as interesting in this moment as inbox zero.

Just because it is in your inbox and from a real person doesn’t mean it requires a response.

I hereby free you from email guilt!
