Belief underpins resilience

The kind of resilience that puts you or your organization in a better position on the other side of a challenge can’t exist in a vacuum.

It must be built on a bedrock belief.

The beliefs aren’t like mission statements. They are simpler, cleaner, more clear.

We create these beliefs ahead of time because whatever the challenge is of the moment often has enough wave energy to knock us around if we haven’t identified our true north.

Whether we are short staffed due to a white hot labor market (like a month ago), or if we are simply trying to remain in business while everybody stays home (like today), our beliefs shape and color the acts of resilience.

So, in a sentence, what do you believe?
